Building extension of German tax office in Oranienburg gets under way

Realisation of the winning entry for the extension of the German tax office (Finanzamt) designed by De Zwarte Hond and wiewiorra hopp schwark architekten (Berlin) has commenced. The head office is established in the “T-building“ (so called because of the floor plan) on the edge of the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp. The T-building accommodated the Inspektion der Konzentrationslager (Concentration Camps Inspectorate). The history of the T-building inspired the designers when creating the new construction.
