Design for development of Dorpsplein, the village square, in Bergen
Bot Bouw has commissioned De Zwarte Hond to elaborate its design further for the development on Dorpsplein in Bergen. The Q-team plus selection committee, comprising professionals and local residents, selected the plan from three designs that were presented on 10 May. “Airy and spacious” and “innovatory architecture for Bergen” were just two of the qualifications that were given. The local residents were unanimous that the design is innovatory and adds value to the centre of Bergen. The design has exceptional accents and its own signature that nevertheless match Bergen’s dimensions and tastes. One resident’s comments on the design: "There are good transitions from Jan Oldenburglaan to the square and these will ensure that this street retains the same character."
