Keynote on proximity in Roeselare
Last week, Jeroen de Willigen, creative director and partner at De Zwarte Hond, gave a keynote at the ‘Roeselare maakt Stad, Stad maakt Roeselare’ event.
In his lecture, Jeroen addressed ways in which mid-sized cities such as Roeselare can develop sustainably. Here, proximity, or the 15-minute city, is a central theme. Taking Groningen as a successful example, this is a city that has chosen a clear course in its urban development since the 1970s.
Jeroen linked this to our Olympic Ambition as we present it in OutThere #5. Our latest bookazine also puts proximity at the heart of tackling all these major social tasks in conjunction.
Earlier this year, we also delivered the master plan for the Northern Station Area for the City of Roeselare. We worked on this together with DELVA Landscape Architecture / Urbanism and Filip Canfyn / Rebel.
