Let’s make the city

in the Netherlands and Germany, housing and offices are in high demand. And there is budget for it. Yet, the production isn’t able to keep up. The contemporary practice of development appears to be more challenging and complex than in the 1990s and early 2000s, with higher ambitions, more inner-city development with more mixed-use programmes, and high construction costs. That change is reflected in the commissions we receive. in 2019 we were often asked to work on larger, more complex developments, as both the architect and urban planner, to create integrated and broadly supported solutions that make a positive contribution to the city.

We draw on our knowledge, experience and creativity to develop solutions for these assignments. We design coherent and distinct architecture and urban design projects. And we help our clients to realise them. Good examples are projects such as the NDSM development in Amsterdam, the Düsseldorf high-rise plan, Stadsblokken Meinerswijk in Arnhem, Mercado and Het Groot Handelshuis in Groningen, the Ellener Hof timber residential neighbourhood in Bremen, the World Food Centre in Ede, Hilversum station area, DE CAAP in Capelle, the expansion of the Stadshagen shopping centre in Zwolle, Hart van de Waalsprong in Nijmegen, the renovation of the Cluster Zuid faculty building in Leiden, the development of Schieveste in Schiedam, the Central innovation District in The Hague and Rugarama Park Estate in Rwanda.

Our team is full of energy, creativity and talent. With that energy, we look forward to starting the new year. But first we’ll enjoy a well-deserved break with our families, loved ones and friends. And we wish you the same. Happy holidays and a wonderful 2020!
