Out there 01 – Stedenbouw
In this first issue of Out there we focused on the redefinition of the urban design discipline. One of our first urban development projects, which we worked on from the end of the last century, immediately became one of the largest projects in the Netherlands: Blauwestad, in the municipality of Oldambt. We have learned a lot from this project, and more than ten years later the economic and social circumstances look completely different. In contemporary and future projects, the programme and pace of development are central – and no longer profit maximisation or a desired final image. With this publication, we explore a different form of urban design.
