Bart van Leeuwen

Bart van Leeuwen is a partner and urban planner at De Zwarte Hond, leading the Groningen office together with Erik Roerdink and Henk Stadens. He works on a wide range of urban design projects, including station areas and restructuring areas. Additionally, since January 2021 Bart was appointed City Architect for the Municipality of Assen. With his projects, he wants to encourage developments that go beyond the initial scope, creating added value to cities and residents. Bart is also regularly involved as a guest speaker, guest lecturer and graduation mentor at various branches of the Academy of Architecture in the Netherlands and the Jade Hochschule in Oldenburg, Germany.
