Erik Roerdink

Erik Roerdink (1982) is an architect and partner at De Zwarte Hond. Together with Bart van Leeuwen and Henk Stadens, he co-manages the team in Groningen. Erik is a motivated and incisive designer who makes cross-connections. His focus is on climate-conscious design according to the principles of ‘Bio-Based Brutalism’. In his projects, he combines this with rich and contextual architecture that adds value in the longer term. Erik designs buildings that are flexible and sustainable, but at the same time age attractively and fit into their context.
