Henk Stadens

Henk Stadens (b. 1969) is a partner and architect at De Zwarte Hond. He heads the Groningen office together with Erik Roerdink and Bart van Leeuwen. Henk and his team work on a diverse range of projects, including large-scale DBFMO assignments for theatres and town halls, inner-city residential buildings and villas for private clients. Henk’s approach emphasises mathematics rather than ornamentation. At the same time, he is constantly seeking to create structures that blend harmoniously with their surroundings and offer optimal freedom to residents and users. His work demonstrates not only craftsmanship but also a strong commitment to the needs of those who use his buildings.
