Tender Museum Batavialand won
The Zwarte Hond, together with Arup, has won the tender for the renewal of Museum Batavialand in Lelystad, commissioned by the Provincial Council. The national government, the Province of Flevoland, and the Municipality of Lelystad are investing millions to transform Museum Batavialand into a museum of international stature — a place where historical ships, exhibitions, and maritime crafts come together in one cohesive and well-organized museum complex.
Museum Batavialand will become a place where history, water, and the future meet. The renewed museum will feature a new entrance, modern public spaces, contemporary storage facilities, and a prominent place for the ship Batavia.

The completion of the renewed museum is scheduled for the end of 2028.
