Are you ready for the next step?
For our new office in Cologne we are looking for a motivated and experienced (>3 years) medior urban designer for 40 hours a week. We are looking for someone with interest in cross-disciplinary thinking of architecture, urbanism and strategic planning. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on various urban planning, mobility strategies, inner city transformations, sustainable and multifunctional business parks only to name a few. In every project, you will be working on different architectural and urban scales, developing sustainable strategies and mitigating our design ideas between many different stakeholders. We offer you an opportunity to develop your professional skills (in architecture, urban design, participation) as a project architect/urbanist.

What will you be doing?
You will work in an interdisciplinary design team of architects, urban designers and city planners. We are looking for someone who can work independently and has a confident approach. Depending on the scale of the project, you will work partially on a variety of assignments or be responsible for an entire project. You will support or lead projects in all phases of the process and in different scales. The work is very diverse, both in terms of the level of elaboration and the type of assignment. In our projects we aim for the best, therefore it is important that you can work and suit well in our team. Some flexibility is also required, as you will need to be able to switch quickly between different projects for a variety of clients.

This is what you bring:

• completed education at a Technical University/Academy of Architecture
• a minimum of 3 years’ work experience
• strongly developed conceptual design skills
• experience in managing your own projects
• a critical attitude with a strong vision on the field of architecture/urban design
• strong communication skills (assertive and enterprising)
• excellent command of ArchiCAD/Rhino/Adobe CC
• you are an enthusiastic team player
• good command of German and English, Dutch is a plus.
