De Zwarte Hond is a design firm for architecture, urban design, and strategy with around 120 employees, working from offices in Rotterdam, Groningen, Cologne, and Berlin. We add value to every project and urban-regional context through multidisciplinary collaboration and an integrated design approach.

What will you do?
As a mid-level architect, you will work on a variety of projects, taking responsibility for design quality and overseeing the entire process. You will be involved in all phases of the design process—from concept development to execution—with a strong focus on architectural and aesthetic quality. You will collaborate with urban designers, architects, and external partners on both public and private projects.

Who are we looking for?
A talented and motivated mid-level architect who:

• Has completed a degree in Architecture at a Technical University or Academy of Architecture.
• Has at least 3 years of professional experience as an architect and holds the official architect title.
• Is conceptually strong and able to move smoothly between preliminary, final, and detailed design phases.
• Has knowledge of building regulations, sustainable construction, and materials.
• Is assertive, proactive, and has strong communication skills.
• Has experience with 3D software such as Archicad or Revit.
• Can work both independently and as part of a team.
• Has an excellent command of Dutch and English.
