junior architect

For our office in Rotterdam, we are looking for a junior architect in the short term. Are you a talented and driven architect who would like to work at De Zwarte Hond?

What will you do?

You will work within the architecture team on projects from our broad portfolio, in line with the signature style of De Zwarte Hond. We work on a wide range of assignments that respond to the challenges we face. Think of mixed residential programs, such as social housing and high-rise developments. Primary schools, secondary schools, and university buildings. Urban planning projects, transformation assignments, and detailing at a 1:5 scale. Timber buildings and buildings made from biobased materials. We are working on the monuments of the future.

Who are we looking for?

• You have completed a degree in architecture at a Technical University / Academy of Architecture
• You are a recent graduate or junior with preferably two years of experience
• You have excellent command of Archicad, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• You contribute conceptual ideas, but above all are interested in craftsmanship as an architect
• You are familiar with Dutch building regulations
• You are proactive and have strong communication skills
• You are a strong team player within a design team
• You are enthusiastic, collaborative, resourceful, and eager to learn
• You have a good command of the Dutch language; English proficiency is a plus
• You are curious about new developments in our field and seek innovation in design
