European nomination AHI Award METRO O1O
Last week in Barcelona, the winners of the EUROPEAN AHI (Architecture Heritage Intervention) Award 2025 were announced. While METRO O1O didn’t take home the prize this time, we’re honoured that our graphic novel was recognized among Europe’s most inspiring heritage projects in the ‘Disclosure’ category.
METRO O1O continues to make an impact far beyond its pages. By now, the book has reached nearly 20,000 eighth graders in Rotterdam. The book encourages people to talk about the city’s identity and creates social cohesion through a collective narrative. In fact, the book is almost a new concept for urban development, that works in a different way.
With the Groningen edition already in development and plans underway for Berlin, METRO O1O is only the beginning.
