Green light for the Healthy Ageing Campus area vision
Recently, the municipal council of Groningen formally adopted the area vision developed by UMCG, the University of Groningen, and the Municipality of Groningen.
The area vision for the Healthy Ageing Campus was developed by De Zwarte Hond in collaboration with Felixx and Sweco. Jeroen de Willigen, partner at De Zwarte Hond, is the supervisor of the HAC Quality Team.
The vision provides clear frameworks for the further development of the campus and its connection to the surrounding area. The goal is to evolve the campus into a vibrant urban campus where knowledge, healthcare, and city life are seamlessly integrated. From the realization of a new laboratory building and smart organization of bicycle parking to the sustainability upgrades of existing buildings, a range of projects will be implemented on the campus in the coming years.
This will result in a healthy, vibrant, and flexible campus that can adapt to the needs of the city and its users, both in the short and long term.
