Jeroen de Willigen gives a lecture in Osnabrück about urban planning in Groningen
The Verein für Baukultur in Osnabrück invited Jeroen de Willigen, creative director and partner at De Zwarte Hond, to share his vision of the urban development and architecture of their city on 18 May. The organisation aims to stimulate awareness of the importance of a high-quality building culture. It intends to provide a platform for different parties to share knowledge and enter into dialogue with each other in order to improve the building culture and thus invest together in the living space of the future. In this light, Jeroen shared his views on spatial developments in Groningen, and what Osnabrück could learn from these. This lecture, in the Baukulturgespräche series, covered topics such as the theory of building culture, the history of architectural and urban development, and points for discussion concerning current projects. As a former city architect of Groningen, Jeroen de Willigen knows better than anyone how to keep a sharp eye on the factors that play a decisive role in the development of a future-proof and healthy city.
