Start of construction of Tower C in the Tilburg railway zone
Tower C is a prominent part of Zwijsen II, directly adjacent to Tilburg Central Station, on a site that for many years housed an NS workshop and the Zwijsen publishing company. Commissioned by developers Trebbe and Van Wijnen, De Zwarte Hond developed the urban design for Zwijsen II, including the architectural design of Tower C, a second residential tower, and a hotel. This marks the next step in the development of Tilburg’s vibrant railway zone.
With a height of 54 metres, Tower C will become a distinctive landmark on the corner of Brokxlaan and Fraterstraat, which also provides access to the parking garage. The raw, robust, and unpolished brickwork clearly references the area’s industrial heritage.
The tower combines working and living. The first four floors accommodate a modern office for housing corporation WonenBreburg. Above, from the fourth to the sixteenth floor, are a total of 96 social rental and mid-market rental apartments. Tower C is expected to be completed in 2027.
