Bart van Kampen

Bart van Kampen (1975) co-manages De Zwarte Hond’s Rotterdam office together with Lisa van der Slot and Daan Zandbelt. Within his team, he works on various projects, ranging from educational buildings to large-scale commissions for theatres and inner-city residential buildings. His work is characterised not only by craftsmanship, but also by a strong commitment to the end users of a building. As a dedicated and energetic designer, he aims to realise a widely supported design for stimulating and pleasant learning and living environments in collaboration with clients, users, advisers and contractors. He is also an advisor to the Concrete Association Netherlands and curator of the schools’ manifesto in Groningen.
