Jurjen van der Meer

Jurjen van der Meer (1953) is founder of De Zwarte Hond. With his extensive knowledge and down-to-earth attitude, Jurjen inspires and coaches young designers. Based in Groningen, Jurjen has been working on very diverse architectural projects for housing and offices for more than 30 years. In Groningen, projects include the G.S.C. Vindicat society building on the Grote Markt, the Agaathhof, hotel on the Hoge der Aa, the superhub in Meerstad and the Gruno neighbourhood. Jurjen van der Meer recently received the Erepening of the Municipality of Groningen. By awarding the medal, the municipality expresses its appreciation for his major role in the field of spatial planning.
