Theater Zuidplein wins Iconic Award 2021

Theater Zuidplein is the winner of 2021’s Iconic Award for Innovative Architecture in the Public, Culture & Education category. Theater Zuidplein in Rotterdam was designed by De Zwarte Hond in collaboration with Studio RAP. The jury considers it to be an innovative and visionary design.

Established by the German Design Council, the prestigious Iconic Awards: Innovative Architecture is the first independent international architecture and design competition that takes into account the interaction between the different disciplines. Prizes are awarded for visionary buildings, innovative products and sustainable communication in all the architectural sectors, the construction and real estate sector, and the manufacturing industry.
