Today for tomorrow. With respect for yesterday.
This guiding principle was at the heart of the public kickoff for the Soyerhofstraße neighborhood in Munich at the end of April. De Zwarte Hond actively engaged with residents to discuss the present and future of the area.
The Soyerhofstraße neighborhood in Untergiesing-Harlaching is a pilot project within the LANDSTADT BESTAND initiative for innovative urban development by the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Building and Transport. The focus is on sustainable, community-oriented, urban and cooperative development. The aim is to activate existing neighborhoods through energy-efficient buildings and the further development of mobility solutions and open space structures.
The client, the City of Munich (Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulation), together with project partners PlanTreff, GP JOULE, intrestik and De Zwarte Hond, as well as Münchner Wohnen as the largest individual landowner, engaged in discussions with around 100 residents at the primary school on Rotbuchenstraße.
The discussions focused on opportunities and challenges: how energy-efficient renovation, improved mobility, enhanced quality of stay, and a careful approach to the historic, partly listed ensemble can be integrated into a future-proof neighborhood development.
The insights and ideas gathered will feed into the analysis of the neighborhood and the subsequent design process.
Many thanks to all participants for the open, well-prepared, and constructive exchange.
