View MO*town Track 8 at the new Arcam exhibition

Last week, Form Follows Finance – The city as excel sheet opened at Arcam. Henk Stadens, architect and partner at De Zwarte Hond, was interviewed for this exhibition on our project MO*town Track 8, which is also on display. With the exhibition, Arcam delves into the history of Amsterdam’s ground lease system, offers insight into the construction costs of recently completed buildings, and looks at the future of several Amsterdam neighbourhoods with the impact of climate risks.

MO*town Track 8 is a housing project with 82 houses and a lively plinth with shops and restaurants. The building has a robust appearance and is carefully integrated into its surroundings. Open steel bridges connect all floors and communal areas. Biodiversity and ecology are also given a great deal of attention, with greenery and water forming an integral part of the project.

The project is located near Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, where offices are being transformed into housing. Sloterdijk is a relatively young district that will change from a business district into a vibrant district with international allure befitting Amsterdam in the coming years.

You can view the exhibition until 10 November 2024. More information on the Arcam website.
