We’ve done it!
On Friday we opened our exhibition „Optimistic Activism. Architecture, Urbanism and the Power of Generosity” at Aedes Berlin. Industry collegues, friends and family joined us to explore the “how” and the “what” behind the work of De Zwarte Hond.
It was a truly special evening for us. We would like to thank Dr. Anne Schmedding for her inspiring opening speech and everybody at De Zwarte Hond who contributed creating this exhibition, from concept to design to construction: Jowan de Haan, Johannes Langer, Hanie Norouzzadeh, Iroa Pinto, Maria Savignano, Ellen Schindler, Matthias Rottman, Lizzy Schreijer, Tijmen Stieber, Lisa van der Slot, Anna Szczepaniak, Jeroen de Willigen, and many more.
Our gratitude also goes to the Aedes team, and in particular Hans-Jürgen Commerell, Mathias Schnell and Christine Meierhofer, who worked closely with us over the past months to bring our ideas to life. Thank you for your trust in our work, and for helping to make this exhibition possible. A word of thanks also to the Aedes construction team for their hands-on support in setting up the exhibition.
We would also like to thank Qbic for their generous support, and furthermore BOTER, Harryvan, Reproplan, Tim Sprang, Made by Mistake, Hans Teerds, Europrint Medien, Onur Can Tape and In Other Words.
De Zwarte Hond is immensly proud of what we have achieved together, and we look forward to the follow-ups that, we are sure, will come after meeting so many inspiring people last Friday.
The exhibition is on display until December 3. If you are curious to discover the “how” and the “what” of our work, make sure to check it out!
