BoogieWood wins Golden Crane award 2025

During the PROVADA real estate fair in Amsterdam, BoogieWood was awarded the very first Golden Crane – a prize recognizing courage, collaboration, and construction acceleration.

In The Hague’s Binckhorst district, BoogieWood demonstrates what happens when partners truly work together. Thanks to the close collaboration between VORM, Local, Haag Wonen, OZ Architects, De Zwarte Hond, and the support of the Province of South Holland, construction was able to start a full year earlier – moving from 2025 to 2024. A significant milestone in times of housing shortage.

BoogieWood will become the largest modular timber residential building in the Netherlands. The first phase includes 293 affordable rental homes built above a parking garage. Thanks to innovative timber construction techniques, the building will be completed in just 18 to 24 months.

The jury praised the joint approach to permits and accessibility. Alderman Robert van Asten also emphasized the importance of collaboration: “BoogieWood shows what’s possible when parties dare to step out of their comfort zones.”

Congratulations to all involved partners on this outstanding achievement!
