MO*town Track 8 shows its form and colour

MO*town Track 8 is a housing project that has been carefully blended into its surroundings. Its black facade stands out amid the lighter buildings that surround it. This is not by accident. The height and colour differences between the buildings are coordinated, creating a kind of unity.

The building has a robust look with a dark facade, but up close subtle details can be seen in the brick. The project made use of reused and recycled materials, fitting in with the City of Amsterdam’s ambition to make Haven-Stad a sustainable, future-proof city district. Moreover, the design pays attention to biodiversity and ecology, with greenery and water forming an integral part of the project.

MO*town Track 8 is committed to co-commissioning. Residents leave their own mark on the building by contributing ideas on the size and layout of the flats. This creates a neighbourhood feeling even before the project is completed. It is also designed from the idea of People attract People. The shape of the building, its steel bridges and communal gardens make you want to meet and stay there.
