Skymark: Mixed-Use Living in the Binckhorst
With the signing at PROVADA for 66 social housing units by Haag Wonen, Skymark enters its next phase. Designed by De Zwarte Hond, the project continues to take shape and strengthens its role as a mixed-use residential building in the Binckhorst district of The Hague.
Construction of Skymark began in November 2025, and the environmental permit has now become irrevocable, marking another important milestone towards the realization of a new piece of city.
Once completed, Skymark will comprise 340 homes: 66 social housing units, 104 mid-market rental apartments and 170 homes in the private sector. This mix is reflected in the design through a layered urban building that encourages interaction — from an active ground floor and makerspaces to a strong spatial connection between different housing typologies.
Together with Amvest and Boele & van Eesteren, we are creating a building that does more than add homes. Alongside BoogieWood, Skymark actively contributes to shaping the Binckhorst into a high-density, mixed-use and future-proof urban district.
